Professional level training at the #1 auto insurance company in the nation

  • Exposure to State Farm culture and opportunities
  • Completes training on workstations and Auto Claims-specific applications
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively analyze and evaluate professional level work within Auto Claims
  • Work on special projects as assigned by the supervisor
  • Demonstrates an understanding of State Farm policy and procedures
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish a plus!

The wage for this internship is $14.00/hour. Hours are flexible, and we are hopeful, if it works for the selected student and State Farm, that the internship will go beyond the summer months, with the possibility of leading into a full-time, permanent position. So, they are looking for college juniors or seniors (not graduating this Spring), who have a genuine interest in learning more about the insurance industry with the possibility of a making State Farm into a career.

Bilingual in Spanish desired (but not required), leadership skills & ability a plus, future flexibility to relocate statewide or nationwide can be a benefit for candidates who gain full-time employment with State Farm and have a desire to grow and advance in their careers.

2. The Millennium Momentum Foundation

The Millennium Momentum Foundation, Inc. will be awarding academic scholarships in the amount of $2,000.00 each for the 2007-2008 academic school year to ethnic minority undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in public administration, public policy, or other public service related fields (i.e. political science, public affairs, etc.). 

Please note that the DEADLINE for scholarship application submittal is Monday, May 21, 2007 at 5:00pm!
